Dream coming true - Art Jamming Session with Splashes Studio! (2 Mins Read)

This is where it all began....

"I dream my painting and then I paint my dream", Said Vincent Van Gogh!

I had a dream since many years now to hand paint a canvas which i can keep looking at with proud and which can become part of my living room forever and ever. One that you can show off with your sign and name that, heh, I made this!

P.S. i cannot draw or paint anything and except water colors till what 8th standard in school i dont remember A or Art.

This passion of having something made by me was re-ignited when I met this International Artist, class apart, who pours in emotions, thoughts and ultra creativity on canvas. And I knew I can ask her to help me with my dream, off course if she agrees. But i have no patience to go every day and create little art so after many to and fro moments for almost an year, here came the Art Jamming Session - which made perfect sense of learning something from Shweta. that too in couple of hours! Known her for a while as this Big Banner Artist, learning from her was not only an learning but it was a very great experience.

Shweta Rastogi, Splashes studio as Art Instructor was thorough professional and Fun to learn with. She bought in utmost comfort to holding paint brushes to learning strokes to helping gain confidence in coloring the canvas directly. We did couple Art Jamming and Jimit was total newbie here but this process he didn't only found it to be meditative but he just said "I was De-stressed". Thats something everyone needs right now and for me it was dream accomplished. I happily flaunt my canvas in my living room already :)

Art Jamming Session with Shweta Rastogi, Splashes Studio"

Where was the session?

Very much at her Residence at Discovery Bay which when we stepped in looked like Art studio in itself from very very beautiful Paintings depicting emotions, spiritual touch, love, passion, commitment and detailing, intricacy and clearly too much hard work to her love of portraying Art through utilities and even furniture... Its a Dream Home for sure and for us those 3 hours of Art Jamming Session!

Do we need to know art, painting, coloring, sketching beforehand to be eligible?

Absolutely not, we were total newbie and thoroughly enjoyed and learned in process.

How long was the session?

In all, it takes around 3 hours or little more here and there.

What did we paint?

We were group of 3 people for this session and Shweta as Art instructor had already prepared a demo art for our session that day and we all had to follow her instructions to make that demo painting.

Was it difficult as newbie?

It did feel scary at beginning to see such a big canvas and how and what are we going to be doing with it, but once the instructions started flowing. It no longer was about art, painting, or anything else. It was therapeutic, you belong to that canvas and you just start doing things and enjoy the process.

How much does it cost?

Well, its very subjective from session to session and number of people in session. So its best to be in touch with Shweta about it. But it includes best quality Canvas and Art material which will make your painting yours forever! For more information on this one can contact Shweta directly -  Splashes Studio, Shweta Rastogi Details

Who is Shweta Rastogi?

Shweta is a renowned Indian & International artist based in Hong Kong. Her works are inspired by her beliefs in spirituality, emotions and social issues. Being a self-taught learner has helped her expanding creativity and breaks the boundaries of conventional structured learning. Can we see the painting you made?

Offcourse, this blog is all for showing off what we could create :)

What is the takeaway from this Art Jamming?

Well literally, one takes away a great experience filled with colors in one canvas holding it tightly to your self and making it yours forever. Our painting as couples are similar since it was Art jamming but we are happily going to gift one to our family back in India and that's gonna keep two walls in two different cities alive with vibrating  beautiful colors. Just can't thank Shweta enough for this exploding memorable session! and hopefully may join again sometime :p i dont mind now filling up all my walls with this hand made little creations!

Jimit Says: - It was a different feel, sort of sense of achievement that he could do this, create something of this sort. And he never thought he would, but he did thoroughly enjoy!

Anubha Says:- It was very amazing experience and very refereshing too. Well Anubha was totally in awe there and there itself, i could see that totally!

Some more pictures from our session:

We were almost merged in canvas and colors by 1st hour in the session!

What is this? Well these elephants have a long story of from where they came and in which condition but the fantastic artist that Shweta is, she helped me tranform them into very authentic temple like Elephants!

So this is what i was talking about. This small little library / lounge sort of area in my house which had plain white wall forever is now displaying my dream, my hand made painting thanks to this Art Jamming session!
